Beyond the Continuum

Beyond the Continuum is my 5th science fiction anthology with nine new stories:

Let Not your Hearts be Troubled recounts the first manned mission to Mars that discovers a planet inhabited by descendants of earth people brought to Mars 5000 years ago and who are preparing to launch an invasion fleet to retake earth -- but not our earth.

Trip to Tomorrow tells the tale of a down at the heels adjunct college professor who devises a scheme to rob a payday loan business by stealing the same money twice utilizing a time machine that can go one day forward and one day backwards in time.

Nightmare Lover is the story of a man who falls in love with a girl in his dreams that ends in him killing his non-existent dream lover and his wife in one simultaneous action.

The Gift that Keeps on Giving tells about a college professor who visits the future and brings back the Covid-19 virus to his own era (the 1920s) and creates alterations in both eras.

I'll Spend Eternity with You chronicles a man who goes back in time to stop his mother from marrying his abusive father whom he killed as a teen-ager. He finally kills himself in a repeat performance of the original murder.

The Pendant is about a man from another world who carries the entire population of his home planet which has been converted into an electronic pulse inside a pendant. The pendant falls into the hands of a rural Texas rancher, then some mysterious men, and finally as a prize in a youth sporting event. But the winner , his family, and the pendant disappear forever on their way home.

The final three stories are a trilogy in which Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson first travel to 2019 Seattle and clear a priest accused of stealing valuable liturgical vessels (The Adventure of the Inter Dimensional Theft), then to 1909 Bristol, England to prevent the murder of a young bellhop named Adolf Hitler in order to preserve history as it was (The Adventure of the Austrian Bellhop), and, lastly, to Plymouth, England in 1588 to stop a plot that would prevent an English victory over the Spanish Armada (The Adventure of the Spanish Armada).
